Episode 2 - Sleepless in Seattle

The show opens with Kyle in bed. It's late and the rest of the house is asleep. He can't sleep and doesn't understand what it is. Kyle gets up and begins exploring. He tastes all kinds of foods. Some good some bad. He generally makes a mess of himself and the kitchen. When he get's full he goes to explore some more and accidentally turns on the TV to a kung-fu movie. The noise from the TV wakes the family and they come down to see Kyle practicing his kung-fu and speaking chinese. (which he learned from the TV show) The family discusses what time it is and that Kyle should be in bed. Kyle doesn't understand time or why it matters what "those numbers" are. They also realize that he hasn't been to sleep since he came over a week ago.

The next morning they wake up and Josh begins his theory that Kyle is an alien. Detective Breen stops by to question Kyle. They don't really learn anything except Kyle doesn't remember anything before he woke up in the woods. Detective Breen tells the family that no one has reported him missing and they have no idea who he is or where he came from.

Lori and Hillary are out shopping and meet up with Declan at a cafe. He talks to them and Hillary uses Kyle to make Declan jealous. Then pulls Lori away before she can explain about Kyle.

Nicole and Kyle go to Doctor Stones office for a check up. They look at his MRI films and the doctor again says that the MRI machine must have been broken. As Dr. Stone continues his check-up he discovers that Kyle doesn't have a belly button. They talk over possibilities but none seem plausible. While Nicole and the Dr continue to talk Kyle goes out to the waiting room and puts together an entire puzzle. Everyone in the waiting room is amazed and they clap.

When they get home Josh continues his theory that Kyle is an alien. Nicole has Kyle draw what he remembers. He draws for hours. Stephen hopes all the drawing will wear him out so he sleeps. Nicole gives him tea to help him sleep. He thinks he is supposed to eat the tea bag so Josh has one more thing to add to his list. "What makes Kyle and alien". Kyle goes and takes a bath. He likes it under the water. Josh comes in and sees him stay underwater for a long time. He decides that Kyle like it under the water because he is weightless like in space.

Lori is on the phone with Declan. She notices Kyle listening and makes him leave. Kyle plays with the alarm clock. There's a MADA corp commercial then Kyle finds some static. He listens to it and Josh has yet another reason he's an alien. Nicole give Kyle a sleeping pill to help him sleep. But once again Kyle is awake all night.

He heads downstairs and because he got into trouble for messing up the house while they were sleeping, he goes outside. He loves the vastness of the sky and stares at the stars for a long time. As he walks down the street we see the guy in the red truck following him. A dog starts to bark and Kyle calms him down. Amanda looks out her window and starts talking to Kyle.

When Kyle goes back in he bumps into Lori sneaking out. Stephen and Nicole hear them and come down, forcing Lori to go back upstairs. When Kyle goes to bed, he and Josh talk about looking at the stars. Josh says that Kyle had to be out there so his real family could beam him up.

The next morning everyone comes downstairs and Kyle isn't around. They look outside and he is just sitting on the lawn. He tells them he is waiting to go home. ALIEN. Nicole talks to Dr. Stone and he says if Kyle doesn't begin sleeping they will have to admit and sedate him.

Lori goes out again, she meets up with Declan and they make plans to meet that night.

Kyle and Stephen go out for a jog so that Kyle will get tired and sleep. They discuss time and Kyle gets a little better grasp on it. Then he takes off and leave Stephen behind. When he gets home Stephen and Nicole discuss some random lines on Kyle's drawings. Josh tells Lori about the parents deciding to stay outside of Kyle's door to keep him in. Kyle overhears Lori and Declan talking about her not being able to leave. Kyle asks about him and Lori explains sarcasm to him.

Nicole and Stephen switch places outside of Kyle's room. Kyle says that his body is sore but his head won't stop thinking. Nicole has him count backwards from 100. He finishes in seconds. Then he counts backwards from 100,000,000. Then next morning Kyle is still counting and Stephen is late for work. Kyle hears Nicole and Stephen arguing about him. Stephen says he doesn't belong. Kyle leaves and the family worries. They decide he went back to the forest where he was found. They tromp though the woods and find him. They ask him what he's doing and he says he "Came so his family could find him" Stephen says "I think we just did" (AWWW)

They go back home and Kyle washes up and feels tired for the first time. Stephen says he just needs to be comfortable. So Kyle turns on some white noise and lays in the bathtub and falls asleep.

The camera pans across the area where kyle was found and you see a skeleton there.
