Episode 6 - Blame It On The Rain

The show opens with shots of rain and lightening. Kyle is in his tub sleeping restlessly. He is thrashing around and having nightmares. He flashes to a man in a hoodie sweatshirt. As he jerks awake there's tapping at his window with a man in a dark hoodie sweatshirt there. It's Declan. Declan says he needs a place to stay. Kyle agrees to let him stay in his room. And he sleeps on the floor. Declan says the rain should let up by morning, and Kyle says that it will last until 2:27 tomorrow afternoon. They both go to sleep.

The next morning Lori freaks out when she realizes that Declan stayed in Kyle's room. She says that they will never believe he wasn't with her. She notices the cut on Declan's head and he gives her an excuse for it. As Kyle is opening the door to let Declan out Stephen comes down the stairs and sees him. He thinks that he is coming in. Declan introduces himself and says he's here to wish Lori a Happy Birthday.

They all sit down to a Birthday breakfast. Declan gives Stephen a different excuse for his cut. Normal household banter ensues. Kyle laments that he has no memories and traditions of Birthdays.

Kyle watches the rain and again predicts when it's going to end. He tells Nicole that he can process the data from weather satellites but can't understand why he has nightmares. They discuss his dreams and she tries to help him figure out his dreams. After she leaves he has flashbacks of the face from his dreams.

Lori and Nicole discuss guys as Nicoles bakes a cake for Lori. Declan and Josh are playing video games and discussing Kyle. Kyle comes down and shows the family a picture he made of the man in the hoodie.

Nicole and Kyle discuss his new pictures and the fact that the last major storm was the night that Kyle was found. Kyle gets upset because they don't have any answers about who he is. When Stephen is out checking the power box, he notices Declans foot prints outside of Kyle's window. Tom Foss the security guy just happens to be there and they go in to look at the picture that Kyle drew of the guy looking in at him.

Declan goes to Lori's room to talk to her about Birthdays, friends, and their relationship. Lori asks about his head, and Declan doesn't want to talk about it.

Josh answers the door and it's Amanda. Her power is out and she's alone so she comes to the house to talk to Kyle. She tells him to get out of the tub because he's wallowing. She gets in and they “wallow” together.

Stephen shows the picture to Tom and questions Stephen about when and where Kyle saw the man in the picture. Tom leaves and Nicole and Stephen discuss the fact that Kyle is extraordinary, but no one has reported him missing. He thinks that maybe someone is watching Kyle as an experiment. Tom Foss calls someone and tells them Kyle is starting to remember.

The kids decide to play board games and Josh freaks out because Lori went into his room to get them. He particularly when Kyle wants to play the Ouija board. When they open the box Josh's porn falls out. They laugh and sit down to play. Tom is watching them from his home. He talks to a man on the phone and has a plan to explain the memories. The kids play and Kyle asks when his birthday is. The Ouija board points to 781227. They accuse Kyle of pushing it and Josh writes down the information in his Kyle File. The rain stops and they all go outside. They continue to discuss Kyle and Declan says that they are crazy if they think that Kyle is Supernatural. He says that there is nothing after death. Just buried and rotting. Amanda looks sad and Lori tells Declan to shut up. He apologizes for saying that , he wasn't thinking about her dad. Kyle notices a drop in pressure and a rise of static electircity. He tells everyone to go back inside and the lightening strikes right where they were standing.

They are all amazed that Kyle predicted the lightening but he says it was nothing. Lori tells Nicole about the Ouija board and they try to figure out what the number meant. They talk about how sad Kyle is about not knowing his birthday. They talk about how weird Declan is being. Nicole tells her she's not ready for sex, Lori agrees and looks stricken.

Declan and Josh are playing video games and Kyle and Amanda are looking up the number. Josh picks at him about being an alien. Kyle gets madder and madder. He finally yells at Josh and grabs the notebook from him. Nicole sends everyone upstairs and tries to talk to Kyle to calm him down. They hug.

Everyone is upstairs and Josh feels bad for what he did. Doorbell rings and it's Tom Foss. He has info about the intruder. He tells about a hit and run in the neighborhood. Lori hears about it and yells at Declan. He explains and Lori yells again. She tries to be nonjudgmental and help him. They talk about being friends. Declan says he has to turn himself in and Lori says she'll visit him in jail.

Kyle starts to take off the pictures from his wall and tells Amanda that he doesn't want to be reminded of things he can't remember. Amanda says that for everyone else, as they grow up they have to try hard to keep the memories from growing dim. But for Kyle, they will get clearer as he grows. He says thank you for helping him feel like there's hope. Then asks about her dad. She says she'll tell Kyle about her dad in the tub. “Wallow central” They talk about her dad.

Stephen and Nicole talk about Declan's hit and run and Nicole breaks the news that Lori isn't a virgin. Stephen says he's not ready. They realize it's Declan and Nicole thinks that Lori is Ok, and Stephen wants to kill Declan. They admit they don't have to worry about Josh. They realize that since Declan was the one at Kyle's window, they still have no idea who the man in the drawing is.

Declan and Lori talk about him telling his father what he did. Declan tells Lori that nothing Hillary said made him ask her out, he wanted to.

Nicole is putting candles on the cake and Kyle offers to help. Josh comes in and starts putting new candles on the cake. Nicole brings the cake out and Lori says she wants to share her birthday with Kyle until he remembers his. They explain birthday wishes to him. He looks at Amanda and you know he's wishing for her. They blow the candles and they are religting ones. Amanda kisses him and his voiceover says his birthday wish comes true.

The next morning Kyle sees the newspaper and the man from his drawings is in it. At the police station, detective Breen has a card with the number 781227 on it.
